Taking care of our mental health is a big part of our community’s recovery from last year’s fire. is a website for individuals impacted by the 2017 wine country wildfires who are looking to learn different coping techniques.

From the privacy of home or while seeking professional care, people can access:

  • Links to free individual and group therapy and trauma-informed yoga and meditation classes
  • Assessments on anxiety
  • Self-guided, evidence-based, trauma-informed resilience and coping skills
  • Other helpful information

The site is available in both English and Spanish and has accommodations for individuals with hearing impairment. was created via a partnership of the Sonoma County Healthcare Foundation, the National Center for PTSD, the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and the Wildfire Mental Health Collaborative. is a self-help service designed to help survivors who have experienced a recent disaster learn more about post-disaster stress and cope more effectively with the effects of the disaster. Trauma challenges our capacity to cope. It forces us to re-evaluate our beliefs and find new ways to move ahead in our lives. This site is designed to help you with this process. It is not intended to replace professional counseling. If you use this service and find that you are not improving, please use the local resources page and seek help from a professional counselor.
