Fire Victims Day at the Capitol
Wednesday August 8, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Join Up From the Ashes to Help Victims Be Heard
California utilities are continuing to lobby at the State Capitol to change California’s liability laws — to shield themselves from any financial responsibility for the damage they’ve caused and shift the cost to fire victims and taxpayers.
As part of our ongoing efforts to protect your legal rights to recover for the damages you’ve suffered AND to ensure utilities take bold steps to prevent future fires, we’re hosting the first-ever “Fire Victims Day at the Capitol” to give YOU a voice — and a chance to tell your story directly to state legislators and their staff.
We’ll set up the meetings, provide informational handouts and even pre-event training. All you have to do is show up! The details are below — so, mark your calendars!
Please RSVP to Kelli Reid at firstname.lastname@example.org. Questions? Call Kelli at 916-447-8186.
