Starting Price and Free Trial

Justworks has two plans: PEO Basic and PEO Plus. The Basic plan is $59 per month, per employee, while the Plus will run you $109 per month, per employee. Rippling starts at $8 per user, per month. However, since the Rippling pricing model is based on the services you need, you’ll have to request a custom quote. Unfortunately, there is no free trial available with Justworks or Rippling.

Payroll Services

With Justworks, you can set up profiles for all your employees and run weekly, biweekly or off-cycle payroll via direct deposit. Justworks will also process taxes for your full-time workers and contractors. Rippling offers similar payroll features with the addition of global payroll, which is a necessity if you have an international workforce.

Time Tracking

While Justworks doesn’t have a built-in time tracking tool, you can integrate it with a special app for an additional cost. Rippling’s time-tracking feature is available for an extra cost through its Time and Attendance solution. A mobile app, tablet kiosk or web portal lets employees clock in and out, and you may approve their hours and sync them with your payroll.

Justworks excels in the benefits administration department. It provides a long list of options, which will depend on the plan you choose, including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. It offers wellness perks, HSAs, FSAs and COBRA administration as well. With Rippling, you’ll also enjoy access to several benefits for small and large groups.


Integrations can allow you to streamline HR with other business processes and tools you may already be using. Justworks supports integrations with over 30 apps, such as QuickBooks, Xero, Greenhouse, JazzHR and Lever. Rippling integrates with more than 500 apps, such as Google Workspace, Jira, Zendesk and GitHub.

Performance Management

If you’d like to manage employee performance, Rippling can help. You can assign and track goals for your entire workforce. Plus, you can set up performance reviews in minutes and collaborate with management on raises and promotions. Justworks doesn’t offer performance management tools.

Customer Support

There’s a good chance you’ll need customer support at least now and then. With Justworks, you can expect 24/7 support via phone, email, chat, text and Slack. Justworks also offers a help center, webinars, blogs and other online resources. All Rippling plans come with email and chat support but you can add phone support for an additional fee.
