It has all the travel insurance benefits of the Sapphire Preferred (with slightly different terms) plus emergency evacuation and transportation coverage and an emergency medical and dental benefit. The Reserve offers similar rewards as the Preferred and access to premium travel perks like Priority Pass.

Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card

The $395 (rates & fees) annual fee Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card offers solid travel protections because it’s a Visa Infinite Card.

The benefits include auto rental collision damage waiver, trip cancellation and interruption insurance, trip delay reimbursement, lost luggage reimbursement and nontravel consumer protections like cellphone protection. The card offers a simple flat-rate rewards structure and several valuable travel perks like Priority Pass access and a credit for TSA PreCheck® or Global Entry.
